Our pre-kindy, kindy and year 10 dance classes loved being part of this. We had random people in the park stop and ask us what was happening so it created a bit of a buzz!

Dance for Kindness is the most amazing opportunity for our students to think globally, to make conscious choices about acting kindly and to be empowered by participating in such a positive group event. The songs lyrics are always so powerful with such significant messages and amazing music, and the dances are always brilliantly choreographed. When I think of dance and I think of kindness, this is the event/experience/curriculum of choice. Absolutely superb, thank you so much!

Participating in Dance For Kindness Berlin was already a memorable experience but now being the Group Leader of DFK Melbourne was on a totally different level of overwhelming emotions. All the effort and hard work put into organising the event paid off when we all jumped in joy and love after the FlashMob. I was so overwhelmed that I could not even speak normally when the videographer interviewed me at the end of the event. Watery eyes and an exploding heart! Everyone enjoyed every single minute of the dance and together we performed the FlashMob 3 times in different locations that day. We just could not have enough of the amazing feeling inside of us. Looking at all the smiling happy faces, I felt so much positivity and warmth in my heart. Such a unique experience to lead a group of beautiful kindness dancers celebrating such a wonderful cause globally. It was definitely more than just a dance for every single person in the group. We came from different background and life paths but we were all united, connected and bonded in that beautiful moment. The power of kindness!

What a privilege to be involved in such an incredible global event! Love the unity, love the passion and love the message! I have been so blessed in organising Dance for Kindness for our school for the second year. Our message this year was, “Be kind to yourself, be kind to your family and be kind to everyone!” Sometimes it is easier to be kind to strangers than it is to the people we love the most – our own families! It has been beautiful to see our students embracing this message and also just having a great time dancing and having fun! Being a Group Leader for Dance for Kindness has empowered and enabled me with some very useful skills and has encouraged me to stretch and grow. I am truly thankful to Orly and her incredible team for organising such a powerful event.

This is my 5th year leading Dance for Kindness in Perth Western Australia! Once again it was completely fabulous. Our community comes together, staff, parents, Year 10 girls and our Kindy students to form bonds and connections and continue on throughout the school year. We also had several lead up events showcasing how kindness can ripple. Cant wait for 2020!

Being a DFK Group Leader was challenging for me but it was also rewarding! Even I have lived in Australia for a long time, communicating and appealing to the event in English was difficult for me. However, LVI responded to my questions and provided a lot of encouragement and support. Even though I struggled to gain a lot of participants, the event was successful and I found many many kind actions around. And most of all, on the event day, all dancers enjoyed the day and danced with joy and happiness. That was the best part of being a DFK Group Leader. We felt a sense of unity through Dance for Kindness.
