Q&A with Linda Lind

My life motto is that you should treat others how you want to be treated. Kindness should be part of who you are and something you exercise daily. It comes in so many different forms and can be something as simple as holding the door for someone else and saying please and thank you. I truly think that we can create a kinder society if we all just remember to take a second before we act and think “is this how I would like to be treated if the tables were turned.

Life is so short so remember to enjoy every minute of it, even the bad times because there’s always a lesson to learn and you’ll grow from every experience. Earth is such a beautiful planet and we are fortunate to share it, so take care of it and each other. We’re in this together.

Music has been part of my life for as long as I can remember and I was about six years old when I performed live for the first time. It was at a summer festival in the small town in Sweden that I was living in and I sang a Swedish folk song. To be honest I don’t remember much except being extremely nervous going up on stage and then feeling this amazing adrenaline rush as I was singing. When the song was over I just wanted to keep singing and I think that’s when I knew that music and performing was something I wanted to continue doing.

This is such a hard question. I listen to so music music and I constantly discover new songs that I love. One song I don’t think I could ever get tired of though is “Man In The Mirror” by Michael Jackson. The melody is absolutely beautiful and there’s so much emotion in his voice when he’s singing. Even though the song was written about 30 years ago the lyrics are still so relevant today and I don’t think we can ever be reminded enough that change starts within ourselves.

Keys to the World

I got questions and
I really wanna know,
tell me which way to go
No one can know for sure
Who’s right or wrong
It doesn’t matter we’re all built the same
So put aside all of the hurt and pain of yesterday…

When the world, is so lost, way too long, gone, gone with our broken hearts
We stand up, we take flight
For humanity we can make it right

We can go, to a place, where love can guide the human race
No more pain, we’ll pave our way, and the world will be forever changed

Oh oh oh oh Let’s stand for kindness, for love
Oh oh oh oh we hold the keys to the world.

They call me crazy and
Say I’m just too naive
I’m just a silly kid who had the nerve to believe
But if you take my hand
begin to trust and make a stand
You too will see the light
That shines above the darkest night

When the world, is so lost, way too long, gone, gone with our broken hearts
We stand up, we take flight
For humanity we can make it right

The time has come, this is our chance
Unite the world through song and dance
No more pain, we’ll pave our way, and the world will be forever changed

Oh oh oh oh Let’s stand for kindness, for love
Oh oh oh oh we hold the keys to the world.

When I’m looking at the world today
Almost feeling like a world away
Alll the killing on the news
Never knowing what to do
And everybody going through
Something in their own kind of way

You know the answer it’s plain to see
It always started with you and me
Gotta plan for something
If you stand for something
If a change is coming
Change is really what you gotta be

Stop stressing every day is a lesson
Every lesson is a day for a blessing
For the world is a test don’t forget about the rest
Of the people in the world who depends on ya best

Everyone in the place stand beside us
Never give up cut ties that divide us
Negativity will never define us
Love humanity and stand for kindness
