When I first watched the Kindness Boomerang video a year ago, I was so moved and showed it to my family and friends – it seemed so simple, but so meaningful that kindness is the answer. The world can seem scary these days and it’s hard not to feel hopeless and helpless… so I decided that I would not be, and that my action would be to create a DFK in my town to show my community that there are still many people who believe in kindness and positivity. Over 150 people showed up and it was simply amazing to be a part of an activity about the power of love and kindness. I am grateful to have had the opportunity to make it happen.

Having the chance to take part in the Dance for Kindness event two years in a row has been an amazing experience. The feeling of connection that is felt throughout the whole experience as we come together as a community- locally and throughout the world- for one goal is one I will always cherish. I am honored to be a part of such an event!
Dance for Kindness is my favorite thing our school does. The way our community comes together, the way the families devote time to practice, it’s just touching that kindness means so much to so many. QSI International School in Shenzhen China will continue to take the stand that KINDNESS MATTERS!

In a nutshell, Life Vest Inside – initiator of Dance for Kindness has not just made me kinder, but I have learned so much and I have created more friends and tightened the bond with friends that I have had all along that supported me from the beginning. If I am given the chance to become a Group Leader once again, I will definitely be ready!

I would like to express my gratitude especially to Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Universiti Tenaga Nasional, Prof. Dr. Mohd. Zamri bin Yusoff that has not just been supporting us in every way possible (financially, morally and etc.) but also came on 12th November 2017 and participate in the event. Next, thanks to Mr. Ruzli Bin Zairazi for allowing us, UNITEN students and other participants of DFK2017 to use the facilities of UNITEN. Other than that, I appreciate the help from Mrs. Nur Shazura Bte Roslan for her hard work to incorporate UNITEN Sports and Cultural Unit in order to make sure this event is a wonderful event.Besides that, to Y.M Raja Feninferina Binti Raja Azman for sharing the experience of managing this kind of event since she has some experiences especially with previous DFK. Moreover, this event could not have happened without the help from both Ms. Christine Kua Wan Huey and Siti Husna Binti Mhd Sarbini for providing us help to acquire the impactful and strategic place to spread kindness which is at IOI City Mall, Putrajaya, Malaysia.
On top of that, my special thanks to both Erin Buchalter and Orly Wahba for continuing to spread kindness every year with this blissful event and I have learned a lot. Not just that, I have finally realized that having a great time with friends and reminding myself of how we could change the world with even the smallest thing does really matter.
Not to forget, the event committees, participants, spectators who did came to support the event and see you guys next year!

Dance for kindness was an amazing experience and very emotional. Spreading kindness and compassion can empower us all for the greater good. The energy of the dancers and public was amazing, united as one through kindness.
The idea of the Dance for Kindness, people all over the world, doing the same dance, on the same day … it creates a sense of unity, doesn’t it? A sense of togetherness. And I hope all those dancers, and everyone watching those dancers, understand what we’re dancing for, and remember that kindness is important.

I have lived near Dominical Costa Rica 20 years and have never seen a freeze mob/flash mob here, especially one promoting international kindness. I am the director of a dance studio in Dominical and when we promoted the idea to our students and families everyone became excited and wanted to participate. The community and businesses came out to witness the excitement and cheered. Dance for Kindness has an organized but fun package of tools and inspiration to pull a freeze mob/flash mob off while promoting Kindness. There are very few media outlets in the area, so we don’t have a newsfeed link, a lot of times we are the news. We had a great time and really look forward to participating next year!

This is my 2nd year as a Team Leader and once again I am in awe of how great it feels to be a part of Dance for Kindness. Helping to raise Kindness Awareness in my community and around the world warms my heart. This year I had a rough start as a Team Leader and was unsure if it was worth the effort. I decided that even if I danced ALONE I would still be part of one of the most amazing movements in the entire world! Dance for Kindness once again showed me how important it is to actually work at being KIND every day. In a world where things seem to get worse every day it is good to know that a kind act can go a long way.
