Marianna Gepner, DFK19 Group Leader
This year I joined Dance for Kindness as a Group Leader for the second time. It was far bigger than last year’s edition and I was so proud to see our event come alive! A great amount of positive energy was spread that day and I feel so content about bringing together Dance for Kindness once again.

Participating in Dance For Kindness Berlin was already a memorable experience but now being the Group Leader of DFK Melbourne was on a totally different level of overwhelming emotions. All the effort and hard work put into organising the event paid off when we all jumped in joy and love after the FlashMob. I was so overwhelmed that I could not even speak normally when the videographer interviewed me at the end of the event. Watery eyes and an exploding heart! Everyone enjoyed every single minute of the dance and together we performed the FlashMob 3 times in different locations that day. We just could not have enough of the amazing feeling inside of us. Looking at all the smiling happy faces, I felt so much positivity and warmth in my heart. Such a unique experience to lead a group of beautiful kindness dancers celebrating such a wonderful cause globally. It was definitely more than just a dance for every single person in the group. We came from different background and life paths but we were all united, connected and bonded in that beautiful moment. The power of kindness!

Participating in Dance for Kindness as a Group Leader this year was exactly what I unknowingly needed. It forced me to challenge myself. It taught me the true value of teamwork, and it taught me that “when you want something, all the universe conspires in helping you to achieve it” (Paulo Coelho). There is no better feeling then seeing all the hardwork fall into place and it was the greatest gift to witness seeing others come together to celebrate kindness and be apart of making that happen. I would recommend it to anyone who is up for a challenge and wants to bring something meaningful to their life.

Once more we lived a great experience sharing the seeds of kindness with our community, family and friends. We really hope our city and our country could be motivated by great movements as Life Vest Inside. It was an honor to be part of this kindness wave.

This was my first year as a Group Leader, I was brave because I have only been living in this city for 5 months and I know a very few people. But as you see, my 7 friends danced and are excited about doing better next year. All the ideas to have a big event make me feel like even if it was very small, it was better than nothing. I was out of my confort zone with all the english information. Right now, to write this is challenging for me and maybe I have some mistakes, but I trust in Life Vest Inside; they wont be judging but grateful while i am practicing my english. My favortie part of the event is the dance. I learned that I can insipire people to create a better world and become an active part of bringing peace. The leadership skills I learned through the program was to trust but I know that I have much more to improve.

Dance for Kindness 2019 is my first time as a DFK Group Leader. Being a Group Leader was really tough and exciting. DKF helped me to connect with more people and build mutual relationships with them. It also helped me boost my leadership skills. I saw the people’s passion in the event. It’s true that Kindness bring together and unites all. It was a really awesome experience. Thank you so much form the bottom of my heart to Orly and team for such a worldwide platform. Love & Blessings.

Putting together this event in my city was a very awesome experience. It was a new and fun experience for all of us as well as everyone who helped. Dancing a for a worthy cause and doing it all around the world as a concept itself was able to move many people and it will always be a symbol of kindness!

This was my second year as a Group Leader and it was a huge success. It’s so fun to see the Dance for Kindness come together in your very own community! I love the outreach, getting sponsors involved and watching the joy on the dancers’ faces during and after the routine. My team consisted of 5 other individuals who were instrumental in helping me with planning and logistics. These friendships grew in the process! What a blessing. I’m already looking forward to next year’s Dance for Kindness!

This was my first time being a part of Dance for Kindness. It was so much fun. I was a little nervous being a Group Leader because I am only 10 years old. The videos on the crew platform were really helpful. I loved organizing the actual dance and freeze mob. I really enjoyed learning the dance and helping others learn it too. I learned that it is ok to ask for help and build a team to help get the tasks done on time and to have extra hands on the day of the actual event. It was really amazing to see how great the Dance for Kindness looks when everyone does it together.

To have the possibility again to Lead Dance for Kindness was amazing. Kids who did it were really excited and engaged. It was more than dancing, it was sharing, laughing, sweating for a great cause, it was organizing, searching to pass along the message of kindness to these kids and from them to the world at large.
