Madi Van Dooren , DFK18 Group Leader
I have to say by trying and becoming a Group Leader I have both learnt so much and grown as person. I was very grateful as the DFK team was extremely helpful with making sure I was up to date with everything, and they were super open to any discussion or questions. I had participated in DFK2016 in Taiwan, and that experience itself gave me so much joy and happiness. Therefore, I tried my best to carry that experience to where ever I would go next. Going into the event I did not think so much about the work that was going to have to be done. Since, I was more focused on the end result of having everyone together dancing and celebrating kindness. However, I realized it is not just the outcome, but also the process to get to the outcome that is important as well.

Amy Panetta, DFK18 Group Leader
Being a Group Leader was an excellent opportunity for me to make a connection with young students at my school who love dancing and making a difference in the world. I loved being able to help them put their desire to help others into action. It was definitely a learning experience, and I feel I could do even more next time.

Marianna Gepner, DFK18 Group Leader
Being a Group Leader opened me up to so many things; I won’t be able to forget my DFK experience. It was heartwarming to see people getting involved in something that you’ve worked so hard for. It’s amazing how one day thousands of people in the whole world take part in something in the name of love, unity and kindness. I hope it’s just the beginning of my journey with DFK as I can’t wait for the next year!
